Lockdown Stops Play!! Please Read Carefully!!

 IT IS WITH SADNESS AND MANY APOLOGIES THAT WE HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE THE CLUB AFTER THE CLASS ON WEDNESDAY 4TH NOVEMBER UNTIL NEXT JANUARY AT THE EARLIEST. 

THIS IS THE ONLY DECISION WE COULD MAKE DUE TO THE NEW LOCKDOWN RULES. 

TAKE CARE ALL OF YOU AND STAY SAFE.

Venue Change - Please Read!!

CHANGE OF VENUE for MONDAY 19th OCTOBER.

Training will be held in the CROCKER BUILDING not our usual one. 

TURN RIGHT - not left - as you enter the main gates. 

And congratulations to all the members who achieved their Bronze Good Citizen awards (more details later).

Latest developments . . .

In the light of the new rules announced today, the club are hopeful that we may be able to continue with our training classes.  However, each class will be limited to 6 people, masks must be worn and social distancing maintained, and no dogs touched by anyone but their owner. 

We were also hoping to start Ringcraft classes next Monday with the same rules as above at 7:00 pm.

There may be difficulties we haven't foreseen yet so please keep your eye on this page or the Facebook page in case any thing changes. 

Fingers crossed everyone.

First day back . . .

Don't forget tomorrow evenings is our first evening session since lockdown started.

Only puppy and obedience classes are being held at the moment.

Puppy and obedience classes start at 7:00 pm in the John Eastwood building on the Newark Showground. 

Enter main gates , turn first left and park along the grass in front of the long low building to your right. 

Classes are held in the nearest three sections of this building. Come in and speak to the people at the reception table. Hope you all enjoy it.

September Newsletter - please read carefully!

Just to let you know that there will be a newsletter this weekend which will have details about the restarting of some of our training. There is quite a lot of things the club will have to do to meet up with KC and insurance advice and regulations but Gill is going as fast as is possible. Keep your eyes open on Facebook, this blog  and the website for copies of the newsletter.

Is That The End Of The Tunnel?

Some good news at last! We are hoping to start training again in September - you will find the dates in the newsletter below. 

Please remember that on Mondays we start at 7:00 pm (obedience, puppies, ringcraft & flyball) and that on Wednesdays we start at 10:00 am (obedience, puppies, agility, hoopers & flyball). 

Can I point out that, because of the ever changing virus situation, we cannot yet be sure which trainers will be able to take classes. We are hoping all classes will be available or if not an alternative will be offered. Take care and turn up if you can,

April Newletter

Here is the TVDTC April newsletter. As you can see there is not a lot of news in it but hopefully things will improve soon. Keep in touch.

All Training Suspended!

Sadly, due to the serious spread of the current virus there will be 

NO MORE TRAINING

at the club until further notice.

Keep safe and well all of you and remember you can continue to train some things with your dog at home.😭

Why not try Flyball!?

We have spaces in our two sessions of Flyball - Monday at 7:00 pm and Wednesday at 10:00 am. 

Come and have a go. It's a great fun sport for active dogs (especially for those who need tiring out!!!) and the good news is - the handlers don’t have to run as much as the dogs!! Any breed and size of dog can enjoy this sport. 

 

Trent Valleyers at Crufts!

Belated (apologies) good wishes to all our members who are competing at Crufts. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and didn't spend too much money on doggy goodies. 

Congratulations to Sara and Marmite for their success.

Huge congratulations to Vera and Mia at Crufts. They achieved a second in the puppy class and a 4th in the Junior Bitch. Brilliant news.

 

Having recently gained his Good Citizen silver award at the club Oscar got awarded a VHC position at Crufts for the Citizens Medal class. So lovely to see so many members doing so well. Congratulations Oscar & Nina.

and finally, Congratulations to TVDTC members Stephen and Clooney who won the Scruffts competition 2020. Brilliant.
