Training Cancellation

Unfortunately, and due to circumstances beyond our control, training on Wednesday the 21st November has had to be cancelled.

Training in November

There will be no training on the Monday 5th, Wednesday 7th & Monday 12th November. Apologies, but this is due to heavy machinery & vehicle exhibitions on the showground. 

Wednesday 14th, Monday 19th and Wednesday 21st are also affected but this training has not had to be cancelled—just held in a different place : the Newark Pavilion. 

When you enter the main gates you turn left instead of right 
 
Go past green buildings on right to white fence 
 
Go through gate (usually open) 
 
Turn right down HORSE WALK 
 
Go past offices on left till you come to NEWARK PAVILION on your left, a single storey building.

The 26th and 28th are in our usual premises. (Stanley Sheldon)

The new Club Website is live!

The new Club website has been rewritten, and is now live!

The URL is unchanged : http://www.trentvalleydogclub.org.uk/ , and you can now access this blog from the front page of the website.

We'll continue to use this blog for any topical or 'short-notice' announcements.

October News . . .

There will be no training on Monday 8th October, or Wednesday, 10th October.

The Gold Good Citizen Test will be held on Monday, 1st October.  Please meet at Inn on the Green at 6.00 pm. 

Match Night will be on Monday, 29th October.

And last (but not least), the Club's Christmas Dinner is scheduled for  Monday 10th December.

As you were . . .

The Showground has decided that we CAN hold training on Monday 10th September and Wednesday, 12th September.

This means that the 'alternative' session at the kennels will not now take place.

Hello Everyone! 

The Summer break is nearing its end, so here is some up-to-date information.

Training restarts at the showground on Monday 3rd and Wed 5th. Sept.

However there is no training on Mon 10th & Wed 12th September. Business will resume as usual the week following that. 

However Summer training attendees can come back for a joint special fun class on the 10th - 7 till 7.45 (it's getting dark earlier) at the kennels if they would like to.(Please email Lesley if you are coming).

Other Club Events this month: Gold Good Citizen training starts on Mon 17th Sept . Match Night (Ringcraft) will be on Monday 24th

And possibly of interest . . . There is a fun dog show on Sunday 2nd September at 11.00 Daisy Made (Skellingthorpe, Lincoln) run by Man’s Best Friend. All sorts of fun competitions ( including Have-a-Go Agility) and doggy stalls.

JUNE 2018 : Last Minute News

A reminder that next week is the last week of training at the showground until the first week in September!

There are still a very few places spare in the alternative summer training provision but
unfortunately you cannot just turn up—you have to contact me first by email for details.

On Monday & Wednesday next week there will be FOOD and a raffle. Please come and enjoy yourselves. There may even be some games to play in certain classes.

In spite of our efforts to sort it out, the Club website still cannot being updated, for technical reasons. Please be patient.

• Training starts again on Mon 3rd and Wed 5th Sept.
• Gold Good Citizen will start 17 Sept.

And Another Week Without Training . . .

It's a Bank Holiday on Monday, it's half-term, and the Showground is busy, so there's no training this week.

But the Nottinghamshire County Show went well . . .

No Training This Week . . .

. . . the heading says it all, really.

Because the Newark Showground is so heavily involved in preparing for next weekend's 'Nottinghamshire County Show', there will be  NO TRAINING at all this week.

What's Happening in May

Match Night will be on Monday, May 21st. 

The Silver Good Citizen Test will be at the beginning of June.

The 'All About Dogs' Show was hard work, but we raised over £1500! 

 

Something Old, Something New . . .;

Welcome to the "Dog Blog", a new venture on behalf of Trent Valley Dog Club.

Due to an 'Unfortunate Combination of Inauspicious Events', we are presently unable to access the Club's main site for the purposes of updating and editing.  Until we regain access, this Blog will enable you to keep up with what is going on. 

We'll post updates on here at irregular intervals ("as and when"), so bookmark the site and check in from time to time.
