All About Dogs 2019

We enjoyed a very successful weekend at All About Dogs. Altogether we raised £2020 for our club!   Huge thanks to all our members who helped at the show (in very hot conditions). They were - as usual - superb.

And now, a message for all agility and hoopers classes tomorrow. Last week we had an agility class and the hoopers didn't because we had to load the trailer for the show. Therefore this week we will be reversing this - hoopers will get their class and agility won't so that we can unload the trailer. 

Sorry agility people, but it seems only fair.

 

The Fast and the Furious - Flyball Heroes!

Huge congratulations to our members in the Flyball team. On Saturday, they finished 2nd at Leicester Inner Wolf, Hounds for Heroes Competition. Well done to Pete and Jan with Tam and Solo, Alison Phillips with Bramble, Sarah Washbourne with Domino and Anne Bell and her husband with Audrey. 

By the way anyone at the club is welcome to try flyball, and we are always looking for new members.

 

 

Diary Dates, Trainer Updates and Clever Puppies!

As well as the training cancellations at the beginning of April (see the post below), there will be no training on Easter Monday (22nd April).

Forthcoming attractions include the AGM, at The Inn on the Green, at Coddington, at 7 for 7.30 pm on Monday, 8th April.  After that, Easter weekend (20th - 22nd April) sees the All About Dogs Show at the Showground.  As usual, we'll be providing 'Have-a-Go' events, including flyball and agility, for the public and their dogs.  We are always grateful for helpers!

Monday night's odedience training is going to have a different look!  Unfortunately, Harry, Cynthia and Emma are standing down, because of work pressures and family committments.  We wish them all well for the future, and offer them our sincere thanks for all they have done for the club.  Stepping into the breach are Kevin, Sara and Denise.  Details can be found on the 'Obedience' page of the website.

Congratulations Time!

As the dust from another Crufts Show settles, let's take time to congratulate those TVDTC members who had a successful show.

Super news first of all from Sara & Parsnip. They came 8th overall in Obedience. Huge congratulations to them both.

Some more of our members gained achievements at Crufts in various categories week. Congratulations to them all. Di Heppell & Tanna; Stuart Kettleborough & Scarlett; Linda Coleman & Rion and Mia; Carol Murfin with her boxers, and Pete and Jan Scott with Smudge & Bryn.

Well done also to Tess,  handled by Laura Sharpe who won a large Post Grad class. Otto’s obreediance team was 9th.

Closer to home (literally), two of our members in Christine Killelay’s class gained their Puppy Foundation Award. They were Linda Coleman & Skye and Maureen Leighton with Phoebe (see picture below) Congratulations to you both.

 

 

Spring is Sprung!

There are no planned cancellations for March, so every session should go ahead as scheduled.

Ringcraft Match Night will be 25th March.
